Craig Palardy is a globetrotting professional educator of 50 years. His teaching experience was initiated in Pennsylvania and led him to teaching experiences in far-off locations such as Iran, Yemen, and Saudi Arabia for a total of 14 years. He has lived through a revolution, the first Gulf War, earthquakes, and monsoons while living abroad. Upon his return to the USA and South Florida, he weathered Hurricane Andrew and several other weather events while teaching in a private school for 30 years, and now at SACS. His undergraduate degree, a BA in Education, is from Juniata College, PA, where he also played baseball for 4 years as a starting shortstop, and played semi-pro baseball, and, upon graduation from college, had an offer to play pro baseball in an independent league in Washington. He received his MA from the University of Oklahoma while working for ARAMCO Schools in Saudi Arabia. He has experience coaching high school football and basketball, middle school volleyball, boys and girls, and girls basketball. He has three children, now young adults, all graduates of STA. His youngest played football for four years at the University of Tennessee and in the NFL for the Carolina Panthers, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, and the Arizona Cardinals. He has 2 brothers, Bob the elder and Rich the younger, 5 grandchildren, and he is proud of all his children and grandchildren and blessed to be called dad and pop pop!
