Darby Arch began working at Saint Anthony Catholic School in 2011 and is currently the 7th and 8th grade Language Arts teacher. She is a graduate of the University of Florida where she received both a MA and a BA degree in Elementary Education. Mrs. Arch holds a Florida certificate in English grades 5-9. She has two sons, one who is a proud Saint Anthony alumni and the other is a current 8th grader.
Kristina Bacallao is a fourth grade teacher at St. Anthony Catholic School. She earned her Bachelors in Psychology from Florida International University and Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Educational Technology from the University of Florida. She began teaching at Saint Anthony in 2009. She is certified to teach Elementary Education K-6. Mrs. Bacallao considers herself blessed to spend her days fostering a love of reading and learning. Mrs. Bacallao and her family are parishioners of Saint Anthony Catholic Church and her two daughters both attend St. Anthony Catholic School.
Tracey Bartholomew has been a teacher assistant at St. Anthony Catholic School since 2007. She loves her job and enjoys assisting in the academic and religious formation of the students. Her 3 children attended SACS, Pre-K through 8th grade, and her family has been involved in the Saint Anthony community for many years. She is grateful to be a part of the SACS family and looks forward to another wonderful school year.
Maria Betancourt is a teacher’s assistant in PreK. She joined St. Anthony Catholic School in 2018 and feels blessed to be part of such a welcoming community. Her three children attended Catholic school and she enjoys the opportunity of seeing two of her granddaughters attend St. Anthony. Mrs. Betancourt finds joy in spending her days with the little ones learning and growing as they explore their environment.
Michelle Bidwill teaches PreK4 at St. Anthony Catholic School. She has held the position of Permanent Substitute and Kindergarten Teacher Assistant for the past 2 years. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Florida Atlantic University. She completed all classes and requirements for Elementary Education. She holds a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate for Elementary Education, K-6. She has fulfilled requirements to teach PreK4.
Gina Burpee is the 7th and 8th grade Religion teacher and the Religious Education School Coordinator at Saint Anthony Catholic School. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and Master of Arts in Teaching from Chapman University. In addition, she has a Florida ESOL Endorsement and is certified to teach Elementary Education in both Florida and California. She began teaching in 2000, and has taught in both the private and public sector. Over the past 20 years, she has taught grades Kindergarten – 8th grade, and at the collegiate level. She is proud to say that she has been part of this talented faculty since 2013. Mrs. Burpee is married and has three sons that all attend Saint Anthony. They feel blessed to be part of this school and parish, and proud to be a second generation family of SACS.
Miren Camporota prior to teaching 2nd and 5th grade classes in public schools, Mrs. Camporota was part of SACS' Substitute Teachers team. She holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from an accredited international university. She earned her Masters in Business Administration with emphasis in Marketing from Nova Southeastern University. She is awaiting official certification to teach Elementary Education K-6. Mrs. Camporota and her family are parishioners of Saint Anthony Catholic School, and her two sons both attend SACS. She is grateful to be part of the SACS family and looks forward to a great school year.
Mary Ann Catapano teaches Math, Religion, and Social Studies to 4th grade. She has been on the St. Anthony Catholic School faculty since 2014, but has always taught in Catholic schools prior to coming to Saint Anthony. She earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Education with a minor in Mathematics as well as a Masters in Education at Queens College. She holds a Teaching Certificate in Florida which includes Math 7-12, Middle School Math 5-9, and Elementary Education 1-6. She has taught both Elementary and/or Middle School classes for over 30 years. Her love has always been for the teaching of mathematics, however she equally loves teaching religion to her students. She is married and has two children who attended Catholic School. Her granddaughter attends St. Anthony and will be in kindergarten this year.
Amanda Cerrone feels fortunate to be entering her sixth year teaching 7th and 8th ELA at Saint Anthony Catholic School. She also serves as the Arts Coordinator, International Junior Thespian troupe director, and is the director for the annual school musical. She earned both her Master’s degree in Education and Bachelor’s in Theatre from Florida Atlantic University. She is certified in English 5 – 9 by the State of Florida. Mrs. Cerrone has two children who attend Saint Anthony.
Dana Clark currently teaches 7th and 8th grade science at Saint Anthony Catholic School. She has her Bachelor’s in Biology and General Science from Gannon University and her Master’s Degree in Secondary Education. Mrs. Clark has taught in both the private and public schools for the past 20 years. One of Mrs. Clark’s daughters is a senior at Saint Thomas Aquinas while the younger two are at Saint Anthony.
Carole Clark has been with St. Anthony Catholic School for 13 years. She has been a proud Assistant Teacher for PreK through second grade. She has also worked in different offices throughout the school. Her two sons were students and proud graduates of SACS. She is blessed to be a part of Team SACS and this community.
Kathy Cobb has been teaching at St. Anthony Catholic School for more than twenty years. For the past 11 years she has taught preschool. She earned her Child Development Associate at Nova Southeastern and continues to maintain certification through the National Council. She has earned and maintains her certification in religion. Her children were, and grandchildren are, students at St. Anthony. Two generations of her family have been blessed to be part of this community as they grow in faith and knowledge.
Myra Corrao is a second grade teacher at St. Anthony Catholic School. She holds a Bachelors in Elementary Education. She also holds a Gifted Endorsement, a Reading Endorsement, and an ESOL Endorsement. She has been teaching for 22 years in both the public and private sector. This will be her 5th year as part of the St. Anthony family. Her younger son attended St. Anthony and is now at Cardinal Gibbons where her other son just graduated. She is blessed to be a part of the St. Anthony parish community and this amazing school.
Debbie Costello is a first grade teacher at St. Anthony Catholic School. She has been teaching at St. Anthony Catholic School since 2005. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a BA in Elementary Education. Her daughter attended Saint Anthony Catholic School and she feels blessed to be a part of this school and parish.
Marcia Crane has been teaching at St. Anthony since 1999 as a teacher in grades Pre-K through 3. She is currently a member of the SET team and a Catapult teacher. She earned my Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education from Michigan State University and her Masters Certificate in Reading Education from Barry University. She is ESOL endorsed and a certified Catechist. Both of her children attended St. Anthony from Pre-K through 8th grade. She is blessed to be a part of the amazing St. Anthony Community.
Brenda Cummings is the principal of St. Anthony Catholic School. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling, and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership. Mrs. Cummings has been an administrator for the private, public, and charter sector for nineteen years. This is her second year as the principal of St. Anthony. She is honored to be a part of such a great community. She had a child attend St. Anthony several years ago and currently has a daughter in middle school.
Michelle Cunningham completed 4 years in the South African Airforce as an Air Traffic Controller. Thereafter a Banking career with Nedbank spanning 26 years and specializing in Leadership & Development obtained from the University of Pretoria, then finishing up her career as a Divisional Head of Investments. She joined SACS in 2014 as Aftercare Director.
Ann-Marie Donnelly started working at Saint Anthony Catholic School in 2012 as a teacher’s assistant for second grade and is currently the Administrative Assistant. She received her AS Degree from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. She is a longtime parishioner of Saint Anthony Catholic Church. She has three sons and a daughter who are all proud alumni of Saint Anthony Catholic School. She feels blessed to be a long standing member of this community.
Anthony Dorini is the Physical Education teacher and the Athletic Director at St. Anthony Catholic School. This is his second year at SACS, and it is his sixth year teaching and coaching. He is a proud alumnus of St. Anthony, St. Thomas Aquinas, and the University of Florida. He received his Bachelor of Science in Sport Management in 2011.
Clara Dorini’s affiliation with the St. Anthony community began in 1987 when her family became parishioners of the Church. Both of her sons attended St. Anthony Catholic School. Her teaching career spans over 20 years. She has taught grades PreK-6th. In 2008 she was blessed and honored to join the St. Anthony Catholic School family. She currently teaches 5th and 6th grade religion, and she is also the AR Coordinator. She received a BA in Education from the University of Florida, and a Masters degree from Nova Southeastern University. Her certifications are in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She is ESOL endorsed and Religion Certified.
Robin Dunn and this will be her fourth year as a teaching assistant. She has assisted in first through third grades. She has her undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas and she has my Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Nova University. She was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale.
Lindsey Everett teaches first grade at Saint Anthony Catholic School. She received her BS degree in Family and Child Sciences with a minor in Psychology from Florida State University in 2012. Ms. Everett continued to pursue her education degree and received her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a major in Elementary Education in 2014. She is Reading endorsed and ESOL endorsed. She currently obtains her professional certification in K-6.
Laura Flack this is her first year teaching at Saint Anthony Catholic School. She taught fifth grade at a Catholic school in Tallahassee for two years. While in Tallahassee, she received a certificate from FSU’s Speech Language Pathology Bridge program. She has a BA from Florida Atlantic University in Elementary Education. She has her ESE/ESOL and reading certifications.
Father Michael Grady is the Pastor of Saint Anthony Parish. He and his four brothers grew up as the sons of an Air Force officer. After much traveling as a child, the family finally settled in Colorado Springs where Lt. Col. Michael J. Grady, Jr., was on the faculty at the U.S. Air Force Academy. After graduation from high school, Fr. Grady studied and received a BA degree in Political Science from Providence College in 1978. He worked in hotel management for many years before finishing his seminary program at St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary. He earned an MA in Moral Theology as well as a Masters of Divinity at St. Vincent. Fr. Grady was ordained a priest in Miami on May 14, 1994. He later earned a Specialist’s Degree in Educational Leadership in 1998 from Barry University. Fr. Grady has served as a parochial vicar at St. Gregory and Nativity parishes, as well as a teacher and assistant principal at Pace High School and St. Thomas Aquinas High School. He served as a pastor at St. Jerome parish before coming as pastor to St. Anthony parish.
Gaudy Herring is the Spanish teacher at St. Anthony Catholic School. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. She is originally from Guatemala and her family moved to Florida when she was six years old. She taught public school for 17 years before joining St. Anthony. This will be her second year teaching Spanish at St. Anthony. She is honored to be a part of this community.
Daniela Jahnes has been working at Saint Anthony Catholic School since 2014 and is currently the Technology Coordinator. She received her BS Degree in Computer Science from The Universidade Carioca de Informatica, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Before joining Saint Anthony, she worked as a systems consultant on assignments in several companies in Latin America, the Caribbean, and South Florida. Mrs. Jahnes has two children, both attended Saint Anthony Catholic School.
Amy Jones began her teaching career at St. Anthony in 1996. Over the years she has taught 2nd grade, 4th and 5th grade, and she is now a part of the Student Enrichment Team. She holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Elementary Education and Specific Learning Disabilities from Flagler College. Her older daughter is a graduate of St. Anthony and her younger daughter is a current student here. She is also a proud alumnus of this wonderful school. She is a true Ft. Lauderdale native and St. Anthony Catholic school is her second home!
Will Krysiek is a music educator and guitarist from Atlanta, Georgia. He holds a Master of Music degree from Radford University (Virginia), and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of South Carolina. Mr. Krysiek has performed internationally and has received awards for outstanding performance and musicianship. In the classroom, he hopes that a broad exploration of the arts will inspire his students in all of their future endeavors.
Jeni Labonte’s first year teaching at St. Anthony’s and she could not be more excited. She was a substitute teacher here last year and this year she will be the P.E. teacher for the primary grades. She has her BA in Interdisciplinary Studies English and History and is certified in Elementary Education K-6. She attended St. Anthony’s for her middle school years and has a daughter that now attends in third grade.
Christalia Leslie is the school’s Clinic Coordinator. She came from the US Virgin Islands, where she had the pleasure of working as a Preschool Director for over five years. After relocating to Florida in 2014, she has worked as an educator in both the private and public sectors. Since joining St. Anthony Catholic School, she has worked as a teacher’s aide for the Pre-K classes and became a Certified Medical Assistant. She has an Associates of Science in Business Administration and Biology, Associates of Arts, and is currently completing her Bachelor of Arts in Education for Exceptional Students K-12. Faith brought her to the Saint Anthony Catholic School, and she truly feels blessed to be a part of the SACS family.
Samantha Marsh teaches kindergarten at Saint Anthony Catholic School. Ms. Marsh holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree with a concentration in Elementary Education and Exceptional Student Education from Palm Beach Atlantic University. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Southeastern University. Ms. Marsh attended Saint Anthony as an elementary school student.
Albert McDonald is a maintenance worker and former alumni of St Anthony. He is currently in his 5th year working here but has been a part of the St Anthony community ever since he started here in Pre-K. He is also a NAVY veteran who was stationed overseas in Japan and assisted with the aftermath of the Tsunami and Fukashimai in 2011.
Jenna McIntosh is the Assistant Principal at Saint Anthony Catholic School. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Science degree in Organizational Learning and Leadership. Ms. McIntosh holds Florida teaching certification in Elementary Education (K-6) with Gifted and ESOL endorsements and Educational Leadership (all levels). Ms. McIntosh was a classroom teacher for 12 years, teaching in both public and Catholic schools prior to becoming the Assistant Principal at Saint Anthony. Growing up in South Florida and being a product of Catholic education, Ms. McIntosh feels truly blessed to call Saint Anthony home.
Naomi Ali Mercado is entering her second year of teaching Art’s Integration at St. Anthony Catholic School. Miss Mercado is a classically trained vocalist and arts educator. She holds a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Science degrees, the duality of her education reflects upon her passion of melding the arts with core subjects. Miss Mercado has an extensive performance history including concerts, ballets, operas and musicals and loves to share her craft with her students.
Rita Messingschlager has been a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church since 1989. She started working at St. Anthony Catholic School in 2012 as a teacher’s assistant for grades 3rd through 5th and Junior High. She also was the science lab and is assistant currently working in the office as the school receptionist. She has three children who all attended St. Anthony Catholic School from Pre-K through 8th grade. She feels truly blessed to be a part of this school and parish.
Meghan Murphy started at Saint Anthony Catholic School in 2010 as a second grade teacher and is now teaching first grade. She has a BS degree in Elementary Education from Stetson University and has her MA degree in Reading Education from Florida International University. Miss Murphy holds a Florida teaching certificate in Elementary Education with an ESOL Endorsement. She is also certified in Reading K-12.
Sharon Lynch Murrah is the Director of Development of Saint Anthony Catholic School and the Executive Director of the Saint Anthony Friends for Education. Her primary role is planning and directing activities related to the development and preservation of the Saint Anthony Friends for Education trust endowment. In addition, she is the community liaison responsible for advancing an affirmative image of Saint Anthony Parish and Saint Anthony Catholic School within the community and the Archdiocese of Miami. A long-time Fort Lauderdale resident, Mrs. Murrah is a Saint Anthony Catholic School graduate who owned and operated her own businesses in the community prior to joining the staff at Saint Anthony School in 2003. Outside of her professional role, she is active in several charitable and community service organizations in the area.
Kelly Piazza joined the SACS faculty in 2019 and is the sixth grade ELA and social studies teacher. A proud St. Anthony alumnus, Mrs. Piazza is excited to witness her students grow in our faith community and experience the gift of a Catholic education. Mrs. Piazza earned her B.A. in English Writing from St. Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana and holds a Professional Certificate in English 6-12. She is entering her eleventh year of teaching in Catholic schools at both the middle and high school levels. Mrs. Piazza has two sons who attend St. Anthony.
Karen Pietrafetta has been working as a Religious Education Assistant for 10 years. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from Florida International University. She is a long time parishioner of Saint Anthony. She is a Catechist for the Parish Religious Education Program for 17 years. Her two children are proud alumni of Saint Anthony Catholic School. She is blessed to be a part of the Saint Anthony Community.
Theresa Pyle is a Speech and Language Pathologist and works as a Student Enrichment Specialist here at St. Anthony Catholic School. She earned her MS in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology in 2006. She is licensed by the Florida Department of Health, and holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She has worked in public schools and private schools for the past 14 years, and was happy to join the talented St. Anthony faculty in 2015. She has enjoyed working in the clinical, private practice and school settings, always with children. Theresa and her husband were married at Saint Anthony, and both of her daughters attend Saint Anthony Catholic School.
Kelli Reilly and has been a teacher at Saint Anthony since 2014. She teaches pre-kindergarten at Saint Anthony Catholic School. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology with a minor in Education and Psychology from Florida State University. She earned a Child Development Associate and has maintained the certification through the National Council. She is a proud alumnus from Saint Anthony Catholic School.
Veronica Riviere began working at Saint Anthony School in 2015 as the elementary Spanish teacher and has worked as a teacher assistant throughout many of the elementary classrooms. Ms. Riviere is currently teaching fifth grade English, where she continues to share her love for reading with her students. She has a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology with a minor in English from Florida Gulf Coast University. Ms. Riviere feels truly blessed to be a part of a strong and talented faculty and community known as Team SACS!
Michele Schneider is our full time School Counselor and in that capacity is responsible for the social emotional learning of our students here at SACS. She has a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Secondary Education from John Carroll University, a Masters in Counseling from Fordham University in New York City and holds a State of Florida Professional Educator Certification for PreK-12 grade in Guidance and Counseling. She has worked as a teacher and school counselor in the public and private sector in New York, Michigan, Florida and the USVI and has been with us for 14 years. She is a mother of 4 alumni and a parishioner here.
Sue Sharpe is the Administrative Director of Saint Anthony Catholic School. Before becoming part of the administrative team she taught Prekindergarten and Kindergarten. The 2020 – 21 school year will be her 31st year as a member of the SACS faculty. She holds a degree of Bachelor of Science with a major in Prekindergarten-Primary Education from Barry University, and a Catechist Certificate from the Archdiocese of Miami. She has a Child Care Center Operations Certificate and a Florida Child Care and Education Program Advanced Director Credential from Pinellas Technical College. She has a Florida Professional Teaching Certificate for Prekindergarten-Primary from age 3 to grade 3. Mrs. Sharpe and her husband are longtime members of Saint Anthony Catholic Church where they were married in 1972. Mike, as well as all three of their children attended Saint Anthony as students. It has been a blessing to be a part of the Saint Anthony Catholic Church and School community for nearly 50 years.
Mikhail Shirley teaches 5th and 6th grade science. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Florida Atlantic University. Her Elementary Education Certification (K-6) includes ESOL and Reading Endorsements. This will be her first year teaching at Saint Anthony school. Prior to joining the team, Ms. Shirley taught in South Korea and Broward county. She is very excited to be part of the Saint Anthony Community.
Kathleen Smallwood is the Student Enrichment Team Coordinator. She began working at St. Anthony in 2015 and have previously worked in public and charter schools for 21 years in Exceptional Student Education services and support. Both her children are graduates of Saint Anthony and Cardinal Gibbons High School. They have been members of the parish since 2003. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Florida Atlantic University and currently holds a Teaching Certificate in Florida with certification in Elementary Education (K-6) and Specific Learning Disabilities with Endorsements in Gifted and ESOL. She also holds Catechist Certification.
Pat Solenski is the Director of Religious Education at Saint Anthony Parish and School. She holds a Master of Arts Degree with a minor concentration in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts Degree both from Barry University. 2020-2021 will mark her 44th year of teaching and ministry in Saint Anthony Parish and School. Originally from Philadelphia, she has seen her daughters, Suzanne and Dorothy, as well as my five grandchildren graduate from Saint Anthony Catholic School. She believes it is a joy and a blessing to be a part of Saint Anthony Parish and School.
Ali Thies is the Development Assistant at Saint Anthony Catholic School since 2010. She attended Florida State University and Nova Southeastern University and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality Management. Ali worked for Marriott Harbor Beach and the Fort Lauderdale Marina Marriott from 1990-2001. She is married to Jim Thies who attended Saint Anthony Catholic School along with their daughter Paige and son Jimmy.
Sue Williams is the Admissions Director/ Registrar at Saint Anthony Catholic School. She attended Miami Dade College majoring in Finance and Computer Science. Originally from northern New Jersey and prior to joining Saint Anthony School in 1999, Sue was employed by Bank of New York Mellon for 16 years as Assistant Vice President managing daily operations of stock transfer and paying agent services. She and her husband have been parishioners since 1992 and were married at Saint Anthony Catholic Church. Their daughter is a proud graduate of Saint Anthony Catholic School.
Christina Wimberly teaches fifth and sixth grade math, as well as fifth grade social studies. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Central Florida. Her Elementary Education Certification (K-6) includes ESOL, Gifted, and Reading Endorsements. Prior to joining Team SACS in 2018, Mrs. Wimberly taught in both Seminole County and Broward County Public Schools. She is very happy to be a part of the Saint Anthony community.
Sandi Wykle has been a Preschool Teacher at St. Anthony Catholic School since 2008. Prior to St. Anthony, she taught sixteen years at St. Bernadette Catholic School. She attended Broward College and Nova Southeastern University. Her state certifications are in Early Childhood and Religion. She is honored and blessed to be a part of the Saint Anthony community.
Katherine Zaros is a 3rd grade teacher at Saint Anthony Catholic School. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with an ESOL endorsement from Barry University, Miami, and is Religion certified. She is entering her 13th year of teaching, and her 5th year at Saint Anthony. Previously, she was a 1st grade teacher at Little Flower Catholic School in Hollywood, She joined Saint Anthony in 2016 as the Arts Integration teacher for grades K-4. She is also the school’s JV and Varsity Cheer coach, with 15 years experience. She has two daughters who attended Catholic school and hold Master’s Degrees in Education. Becoming part of the Saint Anthony Community was an easy transition for Katherine as she felt welcomed the moment she stepped on campus.
